 🔁 How It Works

Wednesdays = Skill Development & Teaching

Structured, age-appropriate instruction focused on fundamentals, spacing, decision-making, and game awareness. Sessions are designed to challenge players while building confidence in a positive environment.

Sunday Game Days = Apply & Compete

Weekend 3x3 games give athletes the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in a real game setting. The format encourages independence, teamwork, and confidence on the court. (Games are supervised by Peg City game-day staff).

This balance of guided instruction and gameplay helps athletes grow at their own pace.

👕 Player Jersey (Included)

Every athlete receives an official 2026 Peg City SBYL 3x3 reversible jersey to keep!

Game-ready. Two-sided. Built for competition.

🚀 Built for the Next Step

SBYL 3x3 is our community development pathway —helping athletes build skills and confidence that support future club opportunities, while delivering a competitive, fun, high-rep spring experience.

Building on Peg City’s history launching Youth 3x3 in 2021, this league continues our commitment to growing the game locally through structured development and meaningful competition.

Is this replacing Sea Bears Youth League?

For 2026, SBYL 3x3 is the Spring Basketball Youth League format, designed to maximize development through high-rep skill sessions and structured 3x3 competition.

This season, the focus is on strengthening local opportunities while broader infrastructure and operational initiatives progress. Peg City is actively working with key partners behind the scenes to support long-term solutions and bring a new dedicated facility to life.

At the same time, the Winnipeg Sea Bears organization is relocating its administrative office, with its new space currently in development. Together, these efforts reflect a shared commitment to strengthening basketball in Winnipeg through thoughtful investment in players, spaces, and the future of the game.

SBYL 3x3 ensures athletes continue to have a strong community development pathway this Spring while these broader initiatives move forward.
